AI × Business

The company behind other companies’ AI

Building and running AI takes powerful chips called GPUs, and they are expensive and hard to get. Axe Compute rents companies dedicated GPU servers with service guarantees, so they don’t have to buy and manage the machines themselves.

According to Refresh Miami, CEO Christopher Miglino and several current employees are moving from Pittsburgh, more staff are expected to follow in early 2027, and local recruiting has started for administrative and business roles. The Brickell office has room for about 20 people; that is the space, not a promise of 20 new jobs.

The company told Refresh Miami it has no South Florida GPU or data-center project to announce with this move. This is a headquarters, not a data center.

What Axe Compute does in four steps: companies need powerful chips, Axe rents them dedicated GPU servers, with service guarantees, leadership now in Brickell

Why it’s good, in plain words: every company that moves its headquarters to Miami brings decision-makers, local jobs and business connections with it. An AI company choosing Brickell also strengthens Miami’s reputation as a place where technology businesses want to be, which helps attract the next ones.

What it means for Miami · Our view

Brickell keeps attracting company headquarters. This one is small for now, but it adds an AI infrastructure company to Miami’s list.

Still to be confirmed
