The project’s October 11 traffic alert listed overnight closures of the northbound and southbound I-95 ramps to westbound S.R. 836 from October 12 through October 16, between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Schedules change, so check the official traffic alerts (opens in a new tab) before you travel.
Why it matters · Our view
Beyond the new skyline landmark, the plans include reconnecting NW 2 Avenue beneath I-395, linking neighborhoods that the old highway divided. Projects like this change how people move through downtown, and which nearby blocks become easier to reach.
