Villa Miami reaches full height in Edgewater, with more work still ahead
· Milestone reported October 28, 2026
Villa Miami, a 56-story condo tower on Biscayne Bay in Edgewater, has topped out: its structure has reached its full height of about 650 feet. The building is not finished yet.

Construction update
Topped out does not mean finished
The tower rises at 710 Northeast 29th Street. It is developed by Terra, a Miami real estate developer, and One Thousand Group, with Major Food Group, the restaurant company behind Carbone, as hospitality partner. It is planned with 70 full-floor and half-floor residences.
Florida YIMBY, a site that follows construction projects, reported the milestone on October 28, 2026, with new aerial progress photos provided by the developers.
“Topped out” means the concrete structure has reached the top. The facade, interiors and building systems still have to be completed before anyone can move in. Completion is targeted for late 2027; that is a goal, not a guaranteed date.

Why it’s good, in plain words: a tower that reaches full height has passed the riskiest and slowest part of construction. For buyers and agents, it is a clear sign that the project is real and advancing, and it helps them tell the difference between a building that is being built and one that is only being marketed.
